The Best Of '07: Day 9 (Almost There...)

Can you believe it?  It's almost over.  Here we are at Day 9 in our presentation of the ten best albums of the past year.  And oh what fun it's been!  Savor these last couple of albums because there won't be a list like this for a whole 'nother year.  This is Airbag Radio.  The Best of '07.

Jay-Z - American Gangster

Put your diamonds up, 'cuz Hova is baaaaack!  Forget about 2006's comeback album, Kingdom Come, American Gangster is Jay-Z's real comeback album.  One of the greatest MC's of all time, puts it down like only he knows how.  Originally inspired by the film of the same name, this album finds Jay spittin' about what he knows best, the hustle.  His tales of his younger days as a drug dealer strike a chord because he doesn't glorify his past, he just tells it how it was.  This one ranks high with Jay-Z's other classics, The Blueprint and The Black Album.  Standout tracks include 'Pray,' 'No Hook,' and 'Roc Boys (And The Winner Is).'
