Caliphonic

We at Airbag Radio had the opportunity to catch Califone opening for Iron & Wine a couple of years ago at Oakland's Paramount Theatre. We must say that despite our unfamiliarity with these indie-vets at the time, the band left a real impression on our collective ears. Stretched-out acoustic rhythms spilt over walls of sonic distortion, killer! The band has a new album forthcoming, titled All My Friends Are Funeral Singers, due out October 6th.
