Here's an answer to a question recently posed to Airbag Radio. Who are the best live bands today?
Radiohead - Epic. This band in amazing on record, live they are unreal. Every ounce of emotion is magnified a thousand times on stage. If you see one band before you die, this is it.
The Roots - Rockin'. Hip-hop's greatest band, throws rock's best party. Exhilaratingly fun. Amazingly entertaining. Even casual fans admit this is one for the history books.
Rage Against The Machine - Intense. Nothing has been lost in the seven-year absence. The reunion show at Coachella was one of the top five experiences of my life.
The Black Keys - Loud. This blues-rock two-piece can bring the noise. Guitarist Dan Auerbach is hands down the best I've ever seen. He simultaneously plays bass, rhythm, lead and slide all on one instrument. Salvation for the blues.
The Mars Volta - Crazy. Hands down the best musicians on the planet. Every time I see this band, it bends my mind how good they are. Everything is out of sync yet somehow held together.

ReplyDeleteThe Roots are one of my favorites. I say this to everyone but, you will enjoy there show even if you have never heard there music. They are amazing performers!
